dead silence

is it just me or can i even hear a pin drop? or an ant fart? seriously... this kind of silence is exactly like the times when you watch a horror movie, just before a "something" jumps out and scare the shit out of you. please, guys and girls, contribute. damn, i'm getting too over my role as a ko. even after its finished. but take this as an advise from a part of our class. there is not unity among us, yes? and why is it that every time something needs to be done, or obligations, people just disappear? even houdini can learn some things from you all. and me too, i admit.

the barbeque. look at it. some people said that they enjoyed it very much, it was one of the best experiences they had ever had in kk. and some said it was a complete failure. in my perspective, those who enjoyed were the ones who played on the beaches, sat there and sang their hearts out. without any contribution to the barbeque. you came, you saw, you ate. no helping, no nothing. i wonder if those limbs can even move. and there were some who despite all these, struggled to make it work. they stayed there and barbequed the chickens and stuff, even though there were a lot of mosquitoes, there was no light. i'm not pointing fingers, but you know yourselves.

enjoyment at the expense of others. damned right you enjoyed. auni did not even stepped a foot onto the beach. and how about us who bought the things, and barbequed it? and when we asked them to go and join us, they refused. just sitting around the so-called campfire, not jumping off a building. what a united class we are. i know that most people will agree with what i said. and those who don't are probably those who "enjoyed" the night. if you do not feel any shame in what you have done, feel free to go on with your daily life and hope it will forever be enjoyable at the expense of others. or else, you better apologize to those who did a lot for you.

i feel that we did what seemed best for us individually. Some find satisfaction by just being on d beach n enjoy the view, some in working selflessly. i dnt think there's any point in bringing out the matter of unity-we are all distinct individuals. mayb the beach bbq shouldnt b in the first place such a complex plan; we were suppose to just go there n enjoy.

My point is people take pride or enjoy doing different things. Just staring out at sea could mean a moment of peace to someone. But some people work out their body n soul could also be another way of releasing stress in them.

Anyway, the "unity" issue would eventually resurface during d BTN.
Fingers Crossed.

well..
they CHOSE to work rite?
for once they could choose not to if they really wanted...
people r bound to carry out duties not becoz of responsibility but rather portraying a HARDWORKING side of themselves.

not all are like that though...but my point is: we all had a choice and we took our chances. No point crying over spilled milk

I have my 2 cents on this.

I’m not on either side of the argument here, or anyone, I’m just speaking as an individual who sees this as an issue that’s happening in the group. Unity. What can you tell me more about it? How do you know when a group is not united enough? When they started neglecting out each other? When they started becoming selfish, and decided to abandon the group by being an individual? To me, I hate to say this, but being an individual is not wrong, as long as it doesn’t damages the group’s name or repo. Sees what happens to few of our classmates who “accidentally” involved in few incidents that are well-known to the maktab, and yet, we’re labelled for something we all did not do just because of a simple mistake. It’s because, people only looks at the negative side of people, rather than seeing the positive side of it.
If I am not wrong, we have some cases that I would like to brought up in the blog, which I hope will open your eyes up to something. It’s the TESL Camp, and TESL Night. TESL Camp, the Sing-a-Long session. We bragged about it being such a pain in the neck, and in the end, it ended up being something ridicule on stage as everyone went out of order (i guess) and we did not follow how we practiced day and night for it. That’s one. We complaint, but, did we think about their side? How they have to work their heart out on putting together those moves. They deserved all the credits (if you asked me) since they came up with the move and everything. Us, we did nothing but just repeating what they are doing, and yet, we bragged about it being “a burden to us”. Not only that, during TESL night, all the boys did not participate on the dancing show, and some of the girls too. My question is why? Are we united? Why did they choose only few who are willing to do it? Why do we have the chance to sit down while they are killing themselves on the stage? Have we thought of that, even for a bit? If you’re saying that they did it because they need to represent us to the audiences that night, what did we actually do rather than paying the money and also simply eating all the foods then? I’m not blaming anyone, it’s just that unfair treatment is given here for people who worked their bloody heart out, and yet, keep pushed aside due to their minor position in the group.

Now, let’s get back to the BBQ thing. At first, I think everyone is okay. They helped what they can. Etc, etc, and they go off. Now, only a few left doing the BBQ, and some are even hurt in the process. (sorry for that, Muiz). But, do we really need to stop the process of them enjoying fun, for the sake of having everyone there and helped with what they can? Will it help the fire to be created much faster? So, if “unity” is about “everyone putting their hands together on something”, then, tell me, how come we are not, yet slightly involved in the TESL Night performance? Yet, the Cohort Five, they mixed the boys and girls which hurts me nonetheless because as if we are not a group.

If we were to blame those who are having fun at the beach, guys, then, we might need to reflect ourselves first. Have we contributed to the groups? If so, how? Is that a big or a small one? Do we help in group activities? It’s all up to you to answer folks. By the way, the futsal went well for the girls. I must say, I am amazingly impressed with the girls’ passion to try their best although, I don’t see them the next Beckham to-be. Still, a round of applause from me, girls. :)

Ceyh~ Next time if Blogger decided to limit words for the comments, than I'll stick to the rule. Eheh~ Still emphasizing on ALL people eh Fong? What about you? What about US? Let's start on a smaller scale of people so that we can, you know, manage things better. Starts with people who don't socialize to the people who socialize like that is what they do for their living. :) You know who I mean. eheh.

d BBQ was about taking time out n njoy ourselves...
my point is we make our own decisions..nobody is forced to do anything...

i think that all of us wud b happy if we just did WAT we exactly wanted- a time out at d beach..
but we got too involved in preparing for food n stuffs, we got tensed n dissatisfaction brewed up..
